Ovi Gets to 7th All time, Newest Blue Jackets score and Two Hat Tricks in the NHL Last Night.

There were 8 games played in the NHL in what was supposed to be an 11 game slate. The Sabres vs. Islanders, Devils vs. Penguins and the Wild vs. Avalanche were all cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns. The Rangers beat the Capitals 4-2 in a game that saw Ovechkin pass Mike Gartner to move to 7th on the all time goal list with 709. He is still 185 goals behind Gretzky for first.

Both Jack Roslovic and Patrik Laine would get their first goals as Blue jackets in a 4-3 win over the Stars.

The Panthers played the Predators in a game that they had they had the lead four different times thanks to a hat trick and two apples from Huberdeau but were unable to win. The Preds continued to battle back all game and force overtime where Filip Forsberg scored the game winner on a five point night of his own. The second hat trick of the night had Jason Spezza getting three for the leafs in a 7-3 win over the Canucks.

Patrick Kane had a four point night in a 6-4 win over the Hurricanes. The Senators were able to finally snap their losing skid and get a 3-2 win against the Canadiens. The Coyotes won 4-3 and were able to fend off a third period comeback from the Blues where St.Louis scored 3 in the 3rd. The Flames played the Jets where they got out to 1-0 lead in the first but the Jets scored four unanswered with three in the 2nd and an empty netter to win 4-1.
