KHL Roundup: February 4

Only two games on the KHL slate on Thursday but both of them were barnburners.

Salavat played against a Dinamo Riga team coming off an OT loss in Moscow against CSKA on Tuesday. Salavat would get a 3-0 lead by the midway point in the second before Riga would get two quick ones Late in the 2nd. 18 seconds into the third with Teemu Hartikainen getting his 24th of the year to make it 4-2 but in the final 10 of the third period just like they did in the second Riga would score two and make it a tie game. The game would go to a shootout where Markus granlund would get the lone goal for the Salavat Win.

The second game had SKA Saint Petersburg welcoming in Lokomotiv. Both teams are tussling for position atop the western conference. Late in the 1st Lokomotiv opened the scoring before SKA would tie it up late in the 2nd. In the 3rd period both teams would score 1 to make it 2-2 going into overtime. In overtime SKA would get the game winner on the power play thanks to a Andrei Kuzmenko gets his 16th of the year on his 25th birthday.
