KHL Roundup: February 3rd.

There were six games on the KHL slate starting off with Magnitogorsk welcoming in Nur-Sultan. Barys jumped out to the lead early in the second but Magnitogorsk would score three unanswered to get the 3-1 lead.

Neftekhimik went to Chelyabinsk to play Traktor. Traktor score two early in the first to jump out to the 2-0 lead. Late in the third with a 4-3 lead Traktor would get the insurance goal with a beauty from Yaroslav Kosov.

Ak Bars played Avtomobilist in a rough match. Midway through the second in a 1-1 tie Bars forward and KHL legend Danis Zaripov would get a game misconduct after tempers flared. Kazan would add two in the third including a Stephane Da Costa’s 23rd of the season which is good for second in the league. Late in the third tempers would flare again as Mikhail Fisenko and Nikita Tryamkin would fight. Kazan would win 3-2.

Torpedo welcomed in Vityaz looking to secure a playoff spot and that they did. Down two in the first period Torpedo rallied and came out with the win securing a playoff spot for the eighth year in a row.

Spartak went to Kunlun looking to to get a valuable two points as they sit in eight place in the west. They would get those two points they wanted but not without battling in tight 5-3 game that had three lead changes. The turning point happened when going into the third period tied 2-2 Spartak was able to score twice in the first 30 seconds.

The final Game had Danamo Moscow one of the teams in the definitive top 4 in the west welcoming in Jokerit who is in the next 4. Dynamo Would get out to the lead in the first two minutes before scoring again late in the period thanks to Dmitrij Jaskin’s league leading 33rd of the year. They would keep the lead winning with a final score of 5-1.
