Knucks of the night: Jan 28th

  1. The first fight of the night was between Canadiens defenseman Ben Chiarot and the Flames Matthew Tkachuk. Tkachuk draws a penalty from Chiarot prior to the fight where he was quickly thrown down to the ice.

WINNER: Ben Chiarot

2. Minnesota’s Marcus Foligno and the LA’s Kurtis MacDermid would drop them off the opening draw in last nights games. Some big Punches were thrown in the scrap but not much was landed.

WINNER: Kurtis MacDermid

3. The second Tkachuck brother to fight for the night, Brady went at with Vancouver’s Zack MacEwen in the final minute of the game. Tkachuk would lose his helmet before taking a couple rights from MacEwen and the linesman stepping in. With Matthew Tkachuck losing his cool postgame against the leafs the other night and Brady being visibly frustrated post fight against Vancouver it is clear both brothers are sick of losing. These two instances of scrappiness could be what both the flames and senators need to change the atmosphere and turn things around early in this shortened season.

WINNER: Zack MacEwen
